The Legacy Continues
“The little apple.” That’s the literal translation of “La Manzanita”. And once you catch a glimpse of this cigar’s oily, dark red Habano hybrid wrapper, you’ll immediately understand the name. Handcrafted in the AJ Fernandez factory, La Manzanita is an absolute stunner from the family behind Southern Draw Cigars.
The story began in 2013, when the Holts and AJ were inspecting bales of tobacco. La Manzanita was the nickname they used for the wrapper leaf, and one that stuck as the cigar was forged. Like many of Southern Draw’s releases, La Manzanita has a charitable aspect, with part of the proceeds going to the First Nations Development Institute and the family putting the focus on the rich history of indigenous Americans’ use of tobacco for cultural and medicinal purposes.
